It almost always is. Wilson just hosted the Kids Choice Awards or something. He’s clearly moving away from football and into entertainment and she needs a career booster. They’re probably repped by the same talent agency and found it as a good way to cross-promote each others brands. It’s pretty harmless.

I think it’s in response to her failed marriage to Future. She fell for a philandering douche, got pregnant and got married really quickly, only to find out he was unfaithful a lot. I’m sure that stung quite a bit and she found it as a good way to heal. Doesn’t affect me, so I don’t mind.

I think this is a far more effective video than the “Anacondas” and such. I actually don’t find it so over-the-top. It’s pretty elegant, beautifully shot and she looks incredible. I liked the song among the other album cuts and I think the video elevates it nicely and pairs with it well.

After reading the AP article linked it is explained much more clearly. In the quote chosen here, the uncle is introduced without any reason linking him to the narrative before or after. As it’s written here it’s a bit confusing. Obviously it makes sense in the right context.

I’m a bit confused. Is Welch responsible or his uncle? The article introduces Lloyd Lee Michael Welch, Jr. and then says Welch saw his uncle assaulting the kids and then he never saw them again. But he also needed to wash a bloody shirt.
