I do have tours and there is even a petting zoo with some cute baby lice.

Do you offer tours of the ranch for the children? You know how important it is for the children to know everything about endangered species.

"Tootsie" is and will always be one of my favourite films. As a reflection on gender roles it is surprisingly subtle. Also, Michael refusing to give away his favourite dress at the end is simply priceless.

I've been a huge fan of his since my early teens, and I love watching him being interviewed. This particular clip doesn't show his brilliant wit, but the man is hilarious and has a googol of interesting stories.

I'd say there are still hordes of people that still don't realize it, though. Or don't even notice that they don't realize it, really.

hahaha i know you're joking, but honestly this highlights our tendency to be selective as to which endangered species are worth protecting

I briefly knew his daughter a few years ago when she was running an acting workshop here in Seattle, and she's amazing too. You could tell she had thoughtful, insightful parents who really cared about acting as a craft.

I love it when all the little lice come running to the fence at night to be fed, little faces so happy and expectant, don't you?

I have a ranch where I breed pubic lice so they don't completely go extinct. I don't want a child to ask me, "why are there no crabs?" and I would have to say "they don't exist anymore, because no one would stand up to protect them."

I was touched when he refers to the women he has never gotten to know because they didn't fit his specifications. I know many women struggle with this every day. Our message, our worth, our contribution is hidden behind other people's external expectations. trying to prove yourself every day and overcome the exterior

So beautiful. He had the same realization that probably 95% of the female population has to deal with. That moment when we realize we're just not good looking...in the way society thinks we SHOULD be. And we understand then why we're treated the way we are. And all the things we do to make ourselves stand out. The

I saw this earlier today and i cried and cried. Now i know why I love "Tootsie" so damn much. I never thought DH was belittling women or their experience, I always thought he was on our side. "Tootsie" was, and always has been, a feminist movie. Thank you DH, for being such a lovely human.

I'll guess that, for him, it's partly a function of being in Hollywood (even if he does live in NY). For all of his talent, if he were a woman he wouldn't be the big star that he is.

1. Now I need to rewatch Tootsie

Good point. I have erred and now I am a sad panda.

This is beautiful. At first I thought that it was the typical actor-reminiscing-type interview. Then shit got real. Please let that not be acting!

My dad interviewed him once. When he found out that my dad had recently had a baby (my older brother), he sent him a silver baby rattle. Dustin Hoffman is a beautiful person.

Oh, Dustie Hoffman, you're such a sweetheart. On more reason to he endears himself to me if there weren't enough.

I remember this clip, and it is the main reason why I love Hoffman.

Dustin Hoffman is my favorite. That is all.
