Well that’s obviously not true, because I dislike Tyson intensely but I’m rather fond of Obama. Obama has three times the class Tyson has, and I’m pretty sure he’s smarter on the whole.

My question, are all companies supposed to selectively hire X amount of what ever race will please people? What happened to interview candidates not being targeted for their race, religion, or sex? Are companies supposed to stop and then selectively hire black individuals just because their companies diversity numbers…
Of course not. After all, white is the default color. No need to mention it!
Wait, did you just sign your post ‘Dumbfuck’?
While arguably the purpose of any weapon is to ultimately persuade one’s, religious zealots aren’t that amenable to persuasion. It’s a fairly conventional maneuver exercised against an extremely unconventional enemy. At $16 million per, it might have been more…

Then we’d encounter a pretty common cliché.

Fucking preach it! I always identified with a lot of characters when I was a child and not a single one of them were like me.
Exactly. I’m of Asian descent and I grew up watching TOS. I never aspired to be like Sulu because he was Japanese, I aspired to be like Kirk because he was cool. “Wanting characters to identify with” implies an inability to identify with what is being offered. If your child only identifies with characters who look like him/her, you’ve failed as a parent. Children should be taught to identify with actions, words, deeds, etc. — not skin color, gender, or perceived background.

You’re right! So why can’t we have more Asian female actresses in the lead rolls of big budget action movies and comic books and tv shows? After all, white people shouldn’t need someone to look like them to relate to them, right?
This is what we call misplaced condescension. And poor reading comprehension.
still scratching my head at how people can identify as a different gender but can not identify as a different race.
Today marks a day that truly is Game Over for one lovable bad ass.
No movie was ever worse for having Bill Paxton in it.
It’s a good looking film.
