When I worked in car rental it was standard practice for employees to toss things into the lost property box and forget about them unless someone called us.

Nice solution. I always move something (a plant, ornament, or the dogs biscuit tin) to another countertop because then I'll notice it's out of place and ask myself why.
@tacotime: No, you're not alone. I get a weird pleasure out of having everything nice and clean. Maybe that makes me a loser, but I'm a happy one :-)
Absolutely amazing on stainless steel sinks. I had stains that even my cleaners couldn't get off, but they disappeared on the first try with this.
On a related note... if malware is preventing you from downloading something like Microsoft Security Essentials (which I really like), I've worked-around that by downloading it to a different computer and e-mailing it as an attachment.
@Tamar Weinberg: Yeah. Same deal. Now I just get my CPA to estimate and file for an extension. It's not difficult to get yourself into your position if you're doing relatively normal things like investing in Mutual Funds where corrected 1099s are really common occurrences.
@Tyrax: Absolutely, and I'd extend that advice to running Windows Update and taking everything that's going. Before that, I'd very much recommend installing and running Microsoft Security Essentials, which is really great (Tip: if a virus is preventing download of that, then a good workaround is to download it to…
I totally swear by the powdered version of Barkeeper's Friend also. It's amazing what it does to a stainless steel sink - it got stains off that nothing else would and leaves the sink like new (no film or discoloration over time).
@planetarian: Another way to look at it is when the last time you got new iLife or iWork applications was. For example, even though I'm currently running Leopard, I originally bought my iMacs in Tiger days, so they are running that generation of applications.
@fjpoblam: An alternative way of forcing the scripts to run is to use Maintidget, which installs as a dashboard widget. Or, just leave your Mac on overnight once a month and it will take care of itself with no need to install anything.
@VictorDadgits: An educated prediction is that they won't and the next update will be in the late spring / summer of next year.
@flu: The answer is you guys are right - it's HDMI or component video only, and I would agree that this is a limiting factor.
@drdiesel: This is full of win. Firstly, a lot of the time I take my laptop to lunch or outside to sit on meetings vs being chained to my desk - this is so much better for that. Secondly, a lot of companies archive meetings for training or general information purposes - this makes that content a lot more easy to…
It doesn't show you all the restaurants that their regular web site does. I love opentable, but this incarnation in it's current form is a waste of time.
VOTE: VisualHub
I did it a little differently in a way that some people might prefer... I think it's a very simple solution, but lots of people comment on how cool it is and copy it, so I thought I'd share.
