But if it's short-term, why not just lease a new car? Especially if you can find a deal where there's little to nothing down and a very low payment. Then you have little to worry with maintenance and repairs.

Practice Online Security
This is totally something everyone should know.
Definitely forming habits around something like online storage is something that can end up becoming a huge annoyance. I do agree with that.
I actually disagree with this. I think these are great gifts. It's just like a magazine. You can cancel if you don't like it or feel it's worth the money anymore.
I spend 40-50 hours a week in front of a computer for work, and I'm sure most of you do too. The last thing I want to do is spend my leisure hours there as well. Console gaming gets me away from computer, out of my chair (or in the case of mobile gaming, out of my house completely), and away from work. Plus you get to…
For as many keyboard-centric games there are on PC, there are just as many games that are best played with a controller because they're made that way. Dark Souls sounds horrible with a keyboard and mouse, as does Batman, Dead Space, or Hotline Miami. I actually like the loose analog controls of the twin sticks and…
But here's the really important part: You can't compare a $400 console with a $600 PC and say the PC is more expensive, because you already have a PC. Not all of that PC's cost is going toward gaming. If you're in the market for a new computer, going from a regular home PC to a gaming PC only costs a couple hundred…

You do realize that the app is free? And that free really doesn't mean free. It gives the developer a potential revenue stream.
Does anyone know if this supports multiple Google Calendars?
You included NAS, might as well include SAN and explain the difference.
I actually haven't built a client yet. Just haven't had the time to do so. Looks like Fast Glacier got to market really quick. Definitely looks a little rough around the edges, but should serve its purpose. It looks like it's missing some features for a backup solution (or at least it's not advertised on their…
Ever look into MonoDevelop since you're already familiar with C#? It's a little pricey, but it'll compile code for you in the native platform (iOS or Android) for you even though you code it in C#.
That's true. But it's brand new. Wait a couple of weeks and someone will have a client built and ready to go. In fact, I'm looking at building a client sometime soon and use it for my backup purposes. I do think that it will work great for photos/music/videos, etc... since I rarely need to re-download them. Only in…
That's not true. Texts aren't the new email. They're just another form of communication. Emails may be somewhat obsolete to many people, but there are things in emails that can be done that cannot be done in texts, such as forwarding, replying to all, multiple recipients, desktop/web clients, etc... Now, I'm talking…
That's fine, however, its and it's convey two completely different things. Shouldn't and shouldnt can only be interpreted as one thing, "should not".
I like to use the often recommended by Lifehacker app, Launchy for doing my calculations. Comes up with a quick CTRL+Space and I can immediately start typing. No need for a browser to be open plus it works with keyboard input.
Besides using VNC, are there any other ways to manage the server without having to hookup the monitor? I'm not familiar with Linux enough to know what I can use. Could I just use the built in Windows Remote Desktop?
