So you take a Zeiss lens put it on top of a crappy iPhone lens and end up with even worse quality. Even the best optics degrade the picture. Sounds like a great product.

Do they make a case with the mounting ring on it as well? Because if it’s just the naked bracket, does that mean I need to remove my phone from my current case to attach the bracket? ...and back again once I’m finished?
... Or you can put a real camera in that bag.
I understand the notion behind “the best camera is the one with you”, but these lenses make no sense. If you need this kind of thing, just bring your friggin camera with you.
Putting Zeiss glass over the crappy, oily, fingerprinty, scratched phone lens makes about as much sense as wearing prescriptions spectacles to improve your intellect.
This is like putting a Porsche badge on a Corolla and expecting the Corolla to hit 190 mph.
None of this makes any sense. By the time you take the expensive lens out of its case, attach the mounting bracket and take the picture, you could have also just used a compact camera. The whole “the best camera is the one you have with you” really only makes sense if you don’t need to assemble the damn thing.
I am not a violent person, but if I saw someone reach into their bag and put this on their phone, I would have to resist the urge to punch them. Although they probably have done something in the past that would justify getting hit in the face anyways.
This is exactly why I love Primer. It's pointed out frequently that the characters use wordy scientific language and concepts that the audience isn't really supposed to pick up on; it's meant to set the stage for these serious scientists who believe in the scientific method. While they stay away from messing with…
Surprised that the mind-boggling multi-viewing-required movie "Primer" wasn't mentioned in this entry. Granted its a bit dry, but it gets deep into the messy side.
