my guess is that the interior shown is some type of ‘base model/entry level’ interior. the expensive, optioned out, models will get more than a dinner plate mounted in the center.

nobody forced the motorcycle to drive at a high rate of speed and in to oncoming traffic. beyond the initial confrontation the biker became a victim of his own actions. there were almost an infinite amount of options and outcomes and he chose to engage and escalate. it’s that simple.

the point is - mr. crotch rocket, regardless of right or wrong, made no attempt to defuse the situation and in fact did the exact opposite. there were plenty of chances and none were taken.

no doubt in my mind we are decades out from the fully autonomous cars we’re all really expecting. sure - we already have some autonomy, e.g. driving down the freeway, but I think we’ll be making baby steps for a long time to come. by the time fully autonomous cars are here it will be a large mix of fully autonomous
