I know I’m in the minority as a liker of Temple of Doom, but I’ve never heard anything resembling the criticism that movie gets directed at Last Crusade. That was a real head-shake line for me too.

People don’t like Last Crusade?! It may not be Raiders, but it’s leagues better than Temple of Doom and Crystal Skull.

I didn’t want Grant to be the Doctor because I would be worried it would make him too busy to show up on Paddington 3

i had this vision of him lounging in a starbucks mooching wifi

I think I might be more inclined to watch Obi Wan if it were a Seinfeld style show about nothing with him just living his life on Tatooine. Space adventures and heroics have been done so many times now and the quality usually varies a lot. But a show about Obi Wan trying to live his life, maybe having a few friends,

Just wanna say thank you for being so terrific at your job. The readership will forever be in your corner!

I think if we assume that Dan assumed that the Doctor already knew about Yaz being into her and was denying it that could be a bit more justifiable but otherwise it’s a bit of a crappy thing to tell someone about their secret crush to said crush even if it was with good intentions.

and that Kim C. could smell this car crash coming & wanted NO part of it.

I want to see a small, intimate movie that ends with a blue sky laser.

I mean, me too. I just thought it was weird to expect things to change so suddenly when we’re still dealing with things that were supposed to happen in 2020. Like, the James Bond movie that was supposed to release last year just came out weeks ago. Media landscapes take a long time to change and I hope eventually

Well, we’re still dealing with movies that were supposed to be released in 2020. At least give it a few years to see what effects a much lower box office and streaming focus has on things.

The worst part in the rise of the “streaming wars” has been that the amount of content has become more important than anything.

One thing that I thought was interesting, and a sign of changing times is this is one of (I think) 3 shows that I am watching this year that cast someone (the lady missing her right forearm)with a visible handicap, resisted the temptation to do a “Very Special Episode” and not only that, didn’t mention it at all. The

That, and the opening chapter or so was genuinely fantastic. The scariest part I can remember was the girl at the start of the event who only got a glancing “dose” of the signal and immediately started screaming that she didn’t know her name or anything about who she was.  That thought still kind of chills me.

Now playing

I like to think Cell was the inspiration for Sarah Marshall’s movie about killer cell phones.

Also, the kids that Dowd calls “clean and upstanding” start the movie as literal drug dealers who revel in seeing their classmates get murdered on the news.

Yeah, I also thought it was very enjoyable. Sure, it was pretty tame and a bit too slick—in keeping with R.L. Stine’s books—but it worked, and it had enough weird quirks (like the lobster at the end) and unexplained mysteries (presumably hooks for the rest of the trilogy) to stay interesting.

Strong agree.  I’d give it a solid B.  Really enjoyed it.

Don’t Breathe is really good and scary and suspenseful.

I give it a B. It actually feels like your watching a CW show rather than a movie.
