I looked at the arguments for leaving that I could find. Every single one of them seemed to prey on fears of foreigners and, specifically, Muslim foreigners.
Then if London secedes the show will be okay. As long as it is part of the UK and, therefore, part of what seems to be an openly racist culture, it will not be enjoyed by me.
The UK and the products of it. Specifically the BBC in this case.
I am not trying to dent their economy. I spend my money as close to my morals as I can. And I feel that what the UK did is wrong and can therefore no longer hand money to them in any way. Whether they feel it or not, I don't care.
Well, then, the UK residents understand. I am sure the UK applauds my decision to boycott products of their broken culture.
Too bad.
How much more narrow do you want than naming a specific show, as I did?
Well, it means I won't be buying a season pass for Dr Who anymore. Loved the show since I was a kid but I won't bother with a media product of a country that gave into racism and xenophobia.
Now come on - we are talking facts here. We aren't trying to connect a lot of individual movies that are meant to be standalone into a single universe just because they seem sort of alike… wait…
Oh no - as a matter of fact, if I remember rght (Been about a year since I watched the video), Cars actually occupies a somewhat prominent place in the theory.
Well, actually you can already watch Netflix offline : They do still offer DVD rentals…
Awwww… come on - there isn't much more of the series to go. Finish it off - I hate it when the AVClub starts a series of reviews like this and then ends it before they are done.
That's not Spiderman. Spiderman doesn't have a big, white, spider shaped target on his chest.
Well, then, you can blame it on the stroke I must have had.
What the heck was that word soup of a quote supposed to mean? I read it three times and it still makes no sense, so either I had a stroke and forgot how to understand English or Spielberg doesn't have any idea what he is trying to say…
That might actually be mildly fun…
You know what is interesting about this? We live in an era when it is so so easy to become separated from each other using the internet to substitute for actual human contact and that seems to coincide with the rise of these conventions - comics or sci-fi or horror or anime or Game of Thrones… I think that is cool…
Here's the thing - from the looks of it, especially from the looks of the Rita costume, they might still be keeping a bit of that cheesiness that will be needed. You don't costume a character like that unless you want to be at least a bit cheesy after all… It's not like they dressed Rita in a leather pantsuit or…
Power Rangers might actually be prime material for a reimagining. I mean, the show itself does that every season anyway and the original run was fun but hardly perfect. So I am willing to give this movie a chance. They can fiddle with the costumes and the characters all they want as long as they keep that sense of…
