I am actually all for a all-female sequel to the originals. Doing that would be fun since an all female cast could bring a new sense of humor to the material. But the problem is that as a remake this just is going to have the same basic humor as the original.

The end of that shows exactly why this remake is not interesting me : The Stay Puff Marshmallow man is now a more monster-y looking thing.

You see, I don't think it is the cast that is making me less than enthusiastic about this new movie. It's more the fact that it's a remake rather than a new movie.

I recognize Nolan has not specifically cited that as a influence. But as a thinking being, I can recognize things that I am not explicitly told to recognize. And I can see the story beats in his trilogy of Batman movies.

I actually like both Kubrick and Spielberg. But I cannot quite get to the point of actually enjoying Nolan's stuff.

I respect that movie. I didn't enjoy it though.

Actually, after Batman Vs Superman, it waned a lot… Like, I was ready to write off all comic book movies forever… then after Civil War, I sort of said "Well, maybe they can be good…".

I'll leave Nolan alone when he makes a movie I enjoy. At least Snyder did "Watchmen". And even "Dawn of the Dead", if it had just been named differently, would have been a decent zombie flick (Not great but good enough).

Heck - Tony Stark was actually written to be exactly the type of person that ought to repulse readers. I mean he's a weapons dealer and a jerk. It's all in how the character is handled.

I am actually mildly excited for the Aquaman movie. Done right, that's a decent character who is on par with the biggies of the DC universe. He is, after all, king of a empire that is worldwide and bigger than any other nation that has superscience and is also a focus point for much of the magic in the DC universe. So

Is it just me or did Stewart age roughly 10 years in the short time he has been off the air? Either that semi-retirement has been hard on him or he had some serious talent in the makeup room of the Daily Show…

As I remember (And it's been awhile so I am pretty wrong) that was closer to the comic book…

Those super soldier serums… they're kooky!

Why can't we just get Season 3 already? I'm dying here to find out what happens next!!!

Cap seems to have the weird thing running through all incarnations of his character… In the Matt Salinger version he also fell in love with the daughter of his first girlfriend too.

Considering the recent box office business of Sandler movies… That's not exactly a sure thing.

Well, looking at Sandler movies he seems to get roughly $40-$60 million to make a movie. Taking a glance at, say, "Jack and Jill" or "Grown Ups", it's pretty obvious that money is not up onscreen…

I wonder what might happen if a set of investors took, say, half of the money that they invest in Adam Sandler movies and instead started doing stuff like this?

It's weird to think of Hannigan as being around for that long… Seems like just yesterday she was Willow.

I am coming to this show kinda late in the game, but I just hit this episode last night… Wow, this show is good.
