I am old enough to have been coming of age in the 80's… If you want to see middle aged men and women trying to pass as teens, then take a look at that decades version of "90210".

You know, here's the thing : The remake of Elm Street suffered the same problems that some other recent movies have. One example I can think of (It's a bad one but it get's to the point) was that "Three Stooges" movie from a couple years ago. You cannot do the three stooges without, you know… the stooges. The…
I am actually really looking forward to this. It seems to me that Fuller has a good match to the material - his stuff that I know of (Never saw "Hannibal" but I am thinking more along the lines of "Pushing Daisies" here) has that heightened realism where it's still grounded but seems fantasy-like that the book…
The thing about Rob Zombie… Whether you like or hate his movies, you at least always know it's a Rob Zombie movie - he has a style. So many directors don't have a very personal style that when one comes along that is that pronounced you have to step back and say "Good going!"
Do we really need to know the origin story of Jason? He's a deformed kid that died while swimming because the camp counselors were having sex rather than watching him. To be honest, that's about all we really need to know about how a superzombie was formed.
Why in the world do we need a Mary Poppins sequel? I mean, come on… there are some movies that really don't need to be made into franchises.
That show is both one of the best ideas ever and one of the worst. One of the best because, point blank, these people need some impetus to lose weight for their health.
Hmmm… At this rate, I'll be offered the role by next week.
The movie might very well turn out to be really good. All I can say so far is that the trailer does not get me excited for it. The cast is decent so maybe they can turn out a good movie. For all I know, it's better than the original. But I can say that the trailer does not fill me with high expectations.
Wow… That is scary. Not only are death threats being tossed out over a game, these people are saying it is the only thing they live for.
Flashpoint was actually a decent story. But, yeah, there was no reason to use it to reset the DC universe.
I was never a fan of the Blade movies… I went to the theater to see the first one and it was… Okay. Aggressively average.
Well, there is something to be said in favor of that. They do seem more interested in telling and retelling origin stories than in writing new ones.
The only problem being that history indicates that they'll screw up this reboot too…
I have basically given up on DC… Really the only DC thing I read anymore is the trade paperbacks of "Injustice : Gods Among Us" (Which, yeah, is just a tie-in to the game but is also a pretty fun elseworlds series). The DC universe I cared about is gone.
This is the basic problem with DC lately… They seem to prefer relaunching the universe on an almost yearly basis rather than doing the hard work to fix things that are wrong with it.
I miss Stephen Colbert the character… Colbert is a smart guy and he's pretty good on the his new show but it's missing that sharper edged satire that the Colbert Report had. They are trying and good on them but it's just a tad too soft.
I will say this - the trailer does nothing to make me excited about the movie. To be honest, the trailer looks to be about a movie without a soul where a talented group of actors go about remaking the original. That said, I'll probably still go to see it… It IS Ghostbusters after all.
"(and, judging from the way he talks around the female cast, probably also if it had fewer women in it. You know, a reasonable number—something less reflective of the actual number of women in the world, and more reflective of Hollywood in the ’80s"
That's the best thing about the show in my opinion… it's a show that doesn't worry about story arcs or consistency or (sometimes) even about basic logic. It's really an excuse to have a few people in a room yelling at one another.
