For me, seaaon five was overall more consistent and stronger than either seasons three or four.
The "realism" the creators were hoping for would have been more effective if the Bundys didn't reside in a home that was huge and reasonably well kept and actually lived in a down trodden working class neighborhood instead of a middle class area like they did.
