Luckily, he’s still young (1.5 years) and super active. But, I wanted to start early with limiting the people food. He is the most food motivated dog I’ve ever had. The nice part about that is that I can just pinch my fingers together like I have a treat even if I don’t when I need to get him to obey.

My beagle is a fiend for baby carrots. Those and other veggie/fruits are the only “people food” I’ll give him because they are so prone to being overweight.
