Even in professional positions they don’t typically take jobs from non-retired workers. I’m a library administrator and we use a number of “retired” librarians on an on-call basis. We could barely function without them but no new professional is going to want to take a position in which they get the occasional shift…

Grinding isn’t difficulty. Leveling old-school 1-60 just took more time, not more skill. The quests were also really boring compared to todays. I’d argue that the Mythic level raids are more difficult and complicated in terms of tactics and coordination than anything Vanilla had this side of original Cthulu in AQ40.

Not anymore. They’ve done a much better job of making the quests feel varied. Sure you’ll get the occasional collection quests but I feel myself much more engaged while leveling up now.

Totally agree with this. I finally had to come to that realization and now I’m really excited for Legion. I loved Vanilla. I raided so much that I went half-way through original Naxx. I remember how awesome the AQ40 opening event felt. Literally having to put all of this energy and resources for months into helping…
