I’ve stolen it from another description of the game, I think it was Edge magazine. I’ve typed in Gamelogical before about how much I loved the term for describing the first title: at its most literal, every character comes across as bright and interesting, without yelling or swearing or forcing any obnoxious character

Not exaggerating, the first game is one of the most extravagantly, unrelentingly boring games I’ve ever played. I feel like they tried to replicate the polite and understated tone of Mass Effect without realizing there was lots of exciting stuff happening beneath the surface of its nonplussed presentation. The

As pointed out by It’s-A-shane above, the animation is actually pretty high quality given other recent output. It’s the art style that’s all stunted and bug eyed and weird.

I suppose in this case it’s that houses and to a lesser extent cars don’t hamper human interaction. The idea that your face will be turned into an emoji also (very lightly) suggests existing in a Lawnmower Man style cyberspace

Between this and BotW it seems Nintendo might have played Dark Souls and reclaimed some teeth

Ugh, I hate it

The first paragraph of this review is why I have been staying away from these reviews. Is this Rolling Stone?

Great to hear you enjoyed/are enjoying Nier:A! I too was hooked on smashing robots to bits by the end

-Ahem- actually you can beat that werewolf with just your fists *looks smug*

Shinigami playing Bloodborne! I’m hype as fudge!

A super late + quick post as I’m not at work, but I played a lot of Absolver over the past week. It is frequently gorgeous, frequently ugly, frequently rewarding, occasionally frustrating and somehow pretty much the only game I played last week. The combat is great: very deep and fair and has hitboxes to drool over.

The clown doesn’t look scary, it looks like a Bratz doll from Hot Topic
