I think stand out areas are Cathedral of the Deep, Irithyll, The Grand Archives and The Ringed City. But I agree, the 'everything is covered in ash' business left every location looking a bit samey and uniformed

Bloodborne is by far and away the most desperately tragic and overwrought of the series imo. Also my fave, for reasons unrelated
