I once saw a video of the asian version some time ago and it was interesting that the subtitles weren't ripped straight out of the english version, but a more close translation of what they were saying in japanese.

@PS1: Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete had blood in it, my reaction was "what the...!?" the first time I saw it. I think they treated it well. Characters also got dirt and bruises.

Phantasy Star Portable 2 is also making an appearance. Promises to be a vast improvement over its big brother and the previous Portable, with elements from Phantasy Star Online and new moves like an evasive roll, but most importantly, free online mode.

@MightyMike235: On that I can agree with. I won't deny it looks good, but they could easily have used other names for the characters and named the movie Fatal Vattle and no one would've said "Hey that's a Mortal Kombat rip-off."

@dmcshinobi: in his 6,300 dollar suit.: You totally got me there, I just don't know what to answer to that. I like change, but I guess I didn't like this particular change, or perhaps I like new fresh things, but don't like classic things to be changed.

@Garlock: @Mokon: Thank you for telling me I'm growing old. :(

Why is it that they always have to change the characters to the point they're unrecognizable? Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time's prince looked exactly like the Warrior Within Prince, wrong game, but at least they based him on a game design.

C'mon. Who wants to pretend their hands are a wheel? what is this, third grade? vroom! vroom!

3D Dot Game Heroes! I don't know how this game went completely under my radar. "Luckily" the only store that had copies of the game still had the two copies they got since it shipped. And I say "luckily" because it's so sad that games like this deserve more sales.

@Orionsaint: It will probably last less than that... after you practice for entire WEEKS and get good enough to beat it. After that then it's striving for the No Death Run, so it's not really 1 hour of gaming, but tons. :)

See? Games like Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake, or Halo Reach do nothing for me. But this announcement has shattered my soul... and creamed my pants.

@Pitchswitch: I guess you didn't play Contra: Shattered Soldier then.

@RockyRan: I thought Contra 4 was a fantastic throwback to the first 2 NES games, real run 'n gun gameplay and not the boss-fests that were Contra III afterwards (not that they weren't great games, but I liked the change of pace).

@GeoGonzo: Hell yeah, 60's Batman was my first exposure to the character, I really wanted Arkham Asylum to have a bonus mode with the music and sound effects from the old TV show. Maybe the sequel will make that a reality.

@VincentGrey: People didn't really have a choice for the past 70 or so years before the governing party changed, it was so corrupt that it didn't matter which party people voted for, PRI would always win.

@jayunreal: Depends of my current mood among other factors. I prefer linear, hell my current candidate for game of the year is Final Fantasy XIII and that's as linear as a sidescroller (I love sidescrollers BTW), but my personal GOTY for 2009 couldn't be more different: Assassin's Creed II.

@QualityJeverage: Wish I could say the same. I found the game uninspired. It made me re-play the original trilogy again and I realized even Warrior Within had its charms.

I decided to dust-off my copy of Re-Volt and I can't believe how well it has aged. Sure I couldn't even make it past the corporate logos at first but that was easily fixed with a command line switch.

Say what you will about the game, but that's some incredibly smooth animation for digitized characters.
