I bought this especially for the brawling and story. I never did any side missions and extra "fluff" in the previous games and I don't have any intention of doing them in Yakuza 3 either. I am not mad at Sega for cutting content I would have never touched anyway, I guess I'm doing it wrong then.

Nope, picked up Yakuza 3 & Final Fantasy XIII instead. God of War 3 will do a decent rent, though.

Itagaki doesn't need to "appeal" to México, we already resonate a lot with japanese game design. We still think it's not really an RPG if it isn't turn-based, we find fighting with our fists is more honorable than using guns, we put attention on details like hair on characters (something western games have a lot of

@sockbox: Remember the Madden 08 fiasco? 30 fps on ps3 and 60 fps on 360. The difference was huge.

@SlashZaku: I'll applaud this, if it means the game turns out to be the Bayonetta of shooters, that game has tons of replayability and doesn't need multiplayer so I kinda expect this one to be the same.

Why is it that every MMORPG lures you in with awesome artwork only to get disappointed when you finally pla it? I'm looking at you Perfect World... and pretty much every other MMORPG.

@yager.daniel: Sad to hear they had a ton of copies traded in within days of release. I love that game, but I also love other universally panned games like Bionic Commando or completely ignored ones like the Yakuza series.

@sander_dutch: I read it mentioned here last january if I recall correctly, that the game was to include the battle of forli and the other episode on disc. (I'm going to get the physical copy)

Hopefully the "speedy" shooter part is actually true, something with the blinding speed of combat of a Ninja Gaiden but with guns would make an interesting game... or maybe it's just me yearning for something as hyperactive as Contra Hard Corps.

@sander_dutch: To me better graphics are worth all that "hassle" (it's all part of the fun), well not exactly better graphics, but a 60 fps framerate is worth the hassle.

I only want this for the luxury apartments!...

@Spaceman Roo: I have a thing for annoying announcers like the one from Ridge Racer 6 (or the PSP ones), Burnout 3: Takedown and Burnout Paradise, but I couldn't stand this one and turned it off within 5 minutes of playing.

@Justin42: If you have the hardware, the PC version offers exactly that: Smooth 60 fps for the most part, and it's only $20! No online, though. But kart games like this are meant to be played split-screen with friends/family (4-player makes the framerate stay at 30 fps mostly, much better than jumping from 15 to 20 to

@Mascott: That would actually be a breath of fresh air in a genre so stagnated, that its own stagnation is stagnating already.

Got in using WQMJ-HGKT-GT4D-2GCC, AKA the very first code on this page!

Great, I became what I hated the most: One of those guys who thinks because the graphics are "simple" then it should be a dowloadable or portable game.

So no chances of seeing this on XBLA too?

@Chester Coat Sleaves: One user extracted the contents of the bluray to his PC and they amounted to 33GB. do a quick look of it in Google.

@Chester Coat Sleaves: MGS4 used 33GB of the BD. Final Fantasy XIII uses 40GB, 32 GB of which are the 1080p movies and the 6.8GB left is the game content.
