@ithyphallus, lazy beareaucrat: God of War Collection will basically do that and GOW3 still looks better, even lowres youtube videos of GOW3 look better than GOW1&2.

@rageofthemage: Wow, barrel throwing technology, I waited for this ever since the first Donkey Kong!

@x3sphere: Isn't 60 fps what videocard makers tout the most in PC gaming?

@Leonharfs: Yeah, their: "We don't comment on rumor" could translate it to: "yes, it's going to happen, but we don't want to tell you yet."

@Methusalah: Yeah, I use Pinnacle Game Profiler, Makes for a very console-like COD4 but with the advantage of higher resolution.

Well suited for gamepad control? Hell yes, I play all my PC games with a gamepad. (Blasphemy, I know, but what else can you do when you play lieing on a hammock?)

@fearing: Yes, even the Cliff recognized it himself.

@Ceiling90: Maybe he has a Wii but wants it in HD?

@Wolfgang Wozniak: That's what Mai Shiranui says when she wins so maybe he wants Fatal Fury VS Capcom. ;)

Please Capcom tell me Ryotaro Okiayu is doing the voice of Zero in this game.

@xxpirateninjaxx: I don't consider Butcher Bay a movie tie-in, it's a prequel of the movie, not a game re-telling the events of the movie, like Wolverine is.

Now THIS is a comparison:

@ithyphallus, lazy beareaucrat: Agreed, the game can be considered the best movie tie-in yet but it is still shallow, especially compared to similar titles like Ninja Gaiden or Devil May Cry.

@joncrofts: That's the thing, I played both side by side and didn't notice the missing effects or texture differences with all the action going on it's even hard to keep up with what moves I'm pulling off, LOL.

You can't really judge from a compressed, sub 540p, and most importantly 30 fps only video. That and Gametrailers doesn't really know how to do those videos anyway. (I'll wait for the Digital Foundry comparison)

@Rachel Fogg: Lucky you, I had to order from Tronix but since I wanted Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time also I ordered both (and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 too) to save in shipping, so I guess I'll get the games on the 30th.

In theory, any console is capable of higher resolutions (yes, even Wii), but since you're basically rendering much more pixels, it means the hardware needs more resources just for that and would compromise graphical quality enormously.

I absolutely love the part in the demo where you encounter the first enemies and after they introduce you to them, the battle theme kicks in and you gain control of Bayonetta at the exact same time the lyrics start.

@Kyolux (Corsair): If it is prerendered as you say, why is it then that the Xbox 360 demo is twice as smaller and the suppossedly pre-rendered compressed footage runs at a higher framerate?

@Bouzi thinks Homer+Mumu=Sexy!: you're right, games are in constant motion, and in Bayonetta's case, having played both demos, the motion in the PS3 version is an unstable mess, it actually hampers your ability to play well.
