Sounds a tad anecdotal to me. Also, I’m not buying that there are professional musicians out there who aren’t auditioning to be professional musicians because a orchestra’s full of “rich white men” (the “rich” part, especially, would come as a surprise to most orchestral musicians I know).

If—IF—blind auditions really do hurt the job prospects of women and minorities, then that has one implication, and one implication only. For my part, though, I have my doubts that this really is the case if you correct for various weird factors.
