TBF, M Steep lives in CT and is not really a Hollywood person; I’m not sure she runs in circles that would be talking to her on the topic. But, to be sure, it is disappointing she couldn’t acknowledge her insulated elite position, and that the behavior was well-known outside her personal sphere.

You have a very mercenary view of the role of US attorneys — one that is not necessarily accurate or shared by all lawyers, although prevalent in popular culture. (Also, your name HappyFunDad does somewhat imply you are male, right?)

So far, this is a civil matter, not a criminal one, so there is no over-arching constitutional principle of justice or due process involved. There are no current suits pending against him (that we know of), and he plans to be a plaintiff against the NYT; this is not a defense case.

Despising SJP’s eyeliner is the only strong opinion I have ever held about make-up. So weird she is so “fashion conscious” but always looks absurd. Makes me think her stylists hate her; also that Matthew Broderick seems so decent and deserves better (but I guess he loves her anyway).
