No way- the show was about politics sprinkled with zombies, but until seasons 6 and 7, politics were way more important than the wights/NK.

Sure, but not after watching that episode and the previous 7 seasons. The Night King returning does not fit into the mythology created. Plus, there are only three episodes left and about 6 major possibilities for final king/Queen on the iron throne. The show has always been about who is going to end up ruler.
I’m not sure if you think I’m here for the supernatural stuff or what, but I have no issue with the show being primarily about politics. I’ve been betting on the starks the whole show simply because the Yorks won the throne IRL.
No way. The night king is done, the show runners just decided that people politics are more fun than monsters.
But they basically did lose their plan- Arya was not original to that decision and she basically went renegade to get that win. Without her, they all died.
I am so excited for everyone finding out what a fucking badass Arya is.
Depends. The courts were certainly open today, as I had hearings (I’m a lawyer). But one of my friends texted to ask if I wanted to picnic with her because it’s so beautiful out, so clearly some companies give their employees the day off (her office was closed).
I love the semi-pettiness of it all: Pinault pledges €100 million, his biggest competitor, Arnault then pledges €200 million.
Ah, but it’s not Central Park West, it’s a side street. The side streets have a more diverse income bracket, from low income apartments to ultrarixh brownstones, next door to each other.
I definitely agree about the wealth, but it’s funny to me that you think Lindsay was normal looking and Kat was hot. I definitely thought that was flipped- Lindsay was super gorgeous and Kat a little weird looking. This is not to disparage either (extremely beautiful in the real world) actress, just to say that it’s…
I had that happen. I wanted to get tested for Herpes along with the standard STIs, but my doctor refused. She said it wouldn’t be an accurate test unless I had a flare up, and as I just wanted to get tested to cover all bases, there was no way I’d get an complete answer.
To be fair, G-dragon is kind of a big deal. He’s considered one of the most genuinely talented kpop stars and he’s had lucrative and critical success internationally. I mean, mainstream media definitely covers him.
Why does this matter though? Because it means that the daughters must have even wors credentials than expected? I don’t think the legacy component is important in this context unless it’s to highlight the incompetency of the daughters, and that feels pretty mean. Make fun of Olivia Jade’s bs forever, w/e. But the…
His teen idol days were wayyyy more than 25 years ago. 25 years ago was 1994.
I could not STAND him on PR. But he’s probably one of the best designers working right now- he can do every body and has mass appeal from haute couture to summer cocktail party (I frequently cover his dresses on rent the runway but haven’t yet been able to justify the price).
I doubt he could fit a full eight children under there though... maybe two.
Does anyone watch the Magicians? Most importantly, did anyone watch this week’s episode and want to freak out about it with me?
I wasn’t defending anything. I was saying that our mental health care system is scary and I’m glad that he was given a break and not sent directly to a hospital. I represent patients in court every week who are trying to be released from psychiatric wards. It’s very, very hard. We lose almost all our cases. So what I…
As someone who actually works in mental health, primarily with people who are hospitalized due to threats of harm towards others or themselves, Pete got off LIGHT. People are involuntarily hospitalized for less, and once in, it is very, very difficult to get out. It sounds like he is being surrounded by support - I…
I lived in an old house/mansion with fifteen bedrooms that housed an early AIDS hospice. Two hundred and three reported deaths. I had five other roommates in this gigantic house, but our rent was severely discounted because we all worked for the owners. The house felt super haunted to me, my anxiety was always on edge…
