“I know what car I want, I have no trade, and I pay cash, but I still feel like I’m walking through a haunted house run by a family of Nigerian princes.”

Oh how’s I adore the W126.

RAM? I’m surprised they don’t offer massive ‘tribal’ tattoo graphics packages...

1st. They just couldn’t bring themselves to make a car with windows.

More like GT360

What you say is true. However, poor working conditions can suck the suck the life out of even the guy who loves what he does. Even the good ones can be turned into zombies.

From my experience in the car business turn over is high for several reasons:

Reading every one of these stories is causing me to hyperventilate.

Came here to say this. “Coach builder” is a lot more accurate than “car company.” I’m glad such a thing still exists though. But that Mustang...I won’t be intentionally looking at that ever again.

The Outback used to be great. Now it’s a bloated caricature of what it once was.

Saabs are so cheap now that you can go about a decade newer for about the same money. For $4K and 2000, you might as well get a Mercedes.

As a prior owner of a 95 with the 2.3t, CP at any price. it’s more like the Amy Fisher edition with that engine.

Looking back, it’s kind of surprising they made something so bare-bones that recently.

i like saying polestar as if it rhymes with molester

I really don’t look forward to doing 84 mph (indicated) in Wyoming/Utah/Idaho and routinely having closing speeds of 16-20 mph on semis (6-10 mph is nice an manageable)

But it won’t be at a constant speed. Instead, the vehicles that will be passing the limited trucks will be accelerating/decelerating more often, burning more fuel. Higher speeds don’t make traffic worse, because in order to HAVE higher speeds, there isn’t the volume of traffic. Volume automatically makes things slower

According to the report, the airbag triggers didn’t cause the accident. It was the truck first going off the road, which resulted in a fire, and then the airbag triggers went off.

Shame this breaks Takata’s continuous stream of positive press.

They tried this before. Big vehicles (and other vehicles) are best with the flow of traffic. If you have them limited like that, there will be more accidents. Also, when they set the national speed limit to 55, no improvement in fuel economy was seen. They need to let this idea go already
