Starred, despite the typos.

Your basic suv driver.

Yeah, I don’t get it either. Bikes, old cars with horrifying emissions and no cats are okay; but something like a skyline or kei car is too dangerous/ has emissions that are “too high”.

No soup for you! Remarkably, if Audi sold that car with a brush guard, a regular automatic (according to Jalopnik, Americans are too lazy for even a DCT), and a few inches of lift, then BOOOOOM(!), goodbye diesel gate woes, hello profits. I don't get it either.

Right now there are two square and earnestly capable 4x4s on the U.S. market; the Jeep Wrangler (187,111 sales this year so far) and the Mercedes-Benz G-Class (3,075 sales)

124 dead, $594m in settlements, 2 people fired (?), 0 executives prosecuted.

124 dead? $594 in settlements and Volkswagen are facing $20bn in fines?

The Doug car post is here! The Doug car post is here!!!

Sam’s offers a great headlight polishing service with a 5 year warranty that even covers chemicals eating the finish they put on it. They polish the lights then bake a UV coating on with a heat lamp. $30. Only way to unfog the lens for more than a few months IMHO.

The trailblazer we both deserve and need

This made me laugh. Nice job. And good idea!

Yeah man. W16 engines, quad turbos, 1,500 hp and 288 mph are just so dumb and boring. I’d much rather drive a 1.5L 3-cylinder hybrid car.

Did they really have to make it that angry? Bugatti need to give up this increasingly boring pursuit of top speed and just build the Galibier. Let Koenigsegg have it, a more important job of putting Rolls and Bentley back in their places awaits.

I thought rich people deserve everything they can buy and poor people deserve nothing but scorn

The Dealerships.

I feel like the Wrangler is a great daily driver for someone who spends a lot of time on the track. It really rewards smooth inputs and slow hands— and keeps you from getting the kind of go-directly-to-jail tickets you might rack up in a more performant mobile. 85 mph in a Wrangler is plenty to keep you focussed.
