Why would the JT be capable of towing nearly double the JLU? If anything, the physics of putting the hitch further from the rear axle would seem to make it less stable.

The recently leaked JT (pickup) tow capacity is 6,500 lbs. I’m curious what you think of that, vs 3,500 for the JLU. The JT has a significantly longer rear overhang (i.e. trailer ‘point of contact’) which would seem to work against it with regard to tow capacity.

Yes, I misstated my point - which is that they selectively use this ‘looking for work in the last four weeks’ metric and ignore the other metrics that have been added which do include those ‘hopelessly out of work’. The real unemployment rate is closer to 5% higher than the 5% rate we so often see.

Harley needs to redefine itself. They’re right in line with the slow down in sales of all-things-retro - same for 70's muscle cars and the like. Their big market has all had their midlife crisis, so if they want to remain in business, they’re going to have to find completely new ways to stay relevant.
