That said, I am not a small man but I still fit fine in my Fiesta ST. I definitely do not fit in a Lotus Elise though.

On the one hand, you’re not wrong. On the other hand, how many of those people actually care? How many cars in this class will get >2500 street miles put on them in a year regardless of legal status?
Huh, I just assumed that while they might be limited in options and/or expensive I could still get winter tires for it, but when I went to Tire Rack and searched for a wheel/tire package it was like “lolnope”. Something tells me it can’t do anything smaller than 18" wheels as well since a GS has Z06 brakes.
Nice thing about a Corvette though is that a 10 year old one costs about as much as a Fiesta ST does new and is a couple of easy bolt-ons away from supercar performance.
Did you know that almost HALF OF ALL FLAVORED DRINKS contain 2-Hydroxypropane-1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid, which is a significant component of a variety of INDUSTRIAL CLEANING SOLUTIONS?
Yeah, the way that game (and Perfect Dark) aims by default is really optimized for a single analog stick where for the last 20 years the twin stick configuration has been the standard for console shooters. I’d imagine those who played with 1.2 or 1.4 control schemes had an easier time transitioning.
Back when Alex still held the record I contemplated going for it, and that was a key part of my strategy. Start with a diesel-powered German sedan or wagon, add auxiliary fuel until it can make the trip without having to stop for anything beyond human needs. I wouldn’t have the raw speed of the super sedans, but…
Ironically for a long time Chrome would auto-mute videos on the web version of MTOD so I had to manually unmute each one I watched from my PC.
I guess really the important question is how hard is it to swap one of these things? Seeing that they’re all now at least 25 years old pretty much any drivetrain swaps are fair game in most jurisdictions. I think even California might be OK with a stick swap as long as you don’t have to modify the exhaust to clear…
USDM Fiesta ST. Base seats are cloth and fully manual, optional Recaro seats are leather, heated, and I think partially power. Focus STs had both cloth and leather variants of their Recaro options depending on the package.
My current ride is also relatively cheap, and has cloth seats, but also seat heaters
You can do it a lot cheaper by just getting the parts from a newer model in a junkyard. At least on the Fiesta you just need the screen and the APIM (computer), it’s otherwise bolt-in plug and play. AFAIK it’s the same on most other models. You might need to do a bit of re-coding with Forscan but that’s free software…
That’s a pretty good comparison, it reminds me of a $30 burner KitKat phone that I had back in 2014 for an Android project.
Weird, I wouldn’t describe mine as anything like that. It’s definitely not the fastest thing in the world but it feels on par with the Android phone I had around the time MFT was released. It lags a bit when scrolling rapidly through my USB track list, but I assume that’s at least partially because it’s connected to a…
I am usually a fairly opinionated computer nerd but to be honest I have never understood what people find so objectionable about Sync2/MyFordTouch. I have a ‘15 Fiesta ST, the last model before Sync 3, and it’s been fine for me.
Someone in their front office read waaaay too many Onion-style ‘4-door Mustang’ articles and must’ve thought people wanted it.
Counterintuitively, the same goes for personalized license plates, too.
I have never seen one myself, but apparently 4 valve pushrod heads typically use either forked rockers or have the rocker pushing on a “bridge” that goes across two valves.
It’s better at any RPM, not just “high revs”. There’s a reason HD diesels are 4V now.
Picture a flat, smooth, stretch of derestricted Autobahn. Average speed of traffic is around 85 MPH. Would you have any problem with a skilled driver maxing out a capable car there?
