As the guy said, the F-450 makes sense for the rich people towing big stuff. I know some horse people who are probably already considering one of these. If you need the capacity you need the big truck, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to be comfortable for a 1500 mile road trip.

Ah how I wish I lived in your radio market. I am not a sports fan, and unfortunately for me in the Cleveland market Clear Channel has decided to run sports on the rock station. They also put it on their AM station but of all their FM stations they chose my favorite to switch out for sports.

This is what I was expecting to see, a lockable center diff. Unlocked = AWD, locked = 4WD. I guess the Raptor’s configuration probably provides a more durable 4WD mode at the cost of the system not really being as flexible at being AWD.

Has anyone been able to get the STX grille on the configurator? The XLT Sport Appearance package provides a black plastic XL-style grille with painted bumpers according to both the pictures and descriptions on the configurator, and the Lariat Sport Appearance package is referenced but doesn’t seem to be a selectable…

I know I’m no old man, but being an IT person I have a hard time trusting that AV’s can actually work flawlessly every single time, and what happens when they inevitably break down how does the AV handle it, how do other AV’s on the road handle it. They will break down, sensors can fail, grounds get rusty, animals…

In that context “at startup” is a layman simplification of “when the engine and catalytic converter are cold”. Start-stop systems don’t operate while the engine’s cold for this and many other reasons (oil temp, passenger comfort when heat is required, etc), so it’ll idle normally until it reaches normal operating…
