That’s probably because it has a slow-mo mode and a lot of people use it in their videos.

I have never seen the VRAM cause an issue with reasonable game settings. The only time I’ve actually ever seen a problem was when I decided to go full retard and see how GTA V ran with everything literally maxed at 4K using DSR mode. I still in general end up GPU limited before then. Even when RAM usage goes over

Not on that hardware I shouldn’t be. The Phenom X6 isn’t amazing, anything CPU-heavy (like say AI for a few hundred NPCs caused it to fall over dead. I’m on an i7 4790K with SLI 970s now and it runs pretty much everything maxed at 1080p 60 FPS or greater, though I haven’t actually run ACU since upgrading.

In a non-ABS vehicle that would probably work (basically the old “in a spin, both feet in” rule from racing) but at this point the vast majority of vehicles on the road have ABS so for most people that won’t be an option.

Here’s a video that explains it pretty well. It’s intended for truckers but the same physics apply to other vehicles. FWD, RWD, AWD, doesn’t matter.

No, generally when you have a tire problem hitting the brakes is the last thing you want to do. Sometimes giving it a bit of gas is actually better if it’s getting a bit sloppy, then you slowly back off and coast down to a stop.

Yep, the pre-facelift E46 sedan looked like a slightly rounded E36, which isn’t necessarily bad but the post-facelift one was much better.

Not so much rage quit as rage ended...Halo 2. I was sitting in my dorm playing it with a few friends watching (because it hadn’t yet been released) and the game just ended at that nonsensical point. My controller went out my door and cracked (RIP Duke controller) on the cinderblock wall at the other side of the hall.

The mother was quoted as saying she was going to have a fit and could get physically violent. If that’s true it seems pretty reasonable to not want her on the plane anymore.

Yes please.

Same problem but with the RV. When my family had a class C we always ended up with one of the passengers happy in the right seat and the other two fighting with the dog over the half-ass bench in the middle formed by the raised floor in the living area. Four doors with quad captains chairs under an extended cabover

they’ll both drag ass up hills

You’re right about the differences, but at the same time it’s more of a semantics thing because there’s definitely a spectrum of “sameness”.

Clicked hoping someone had pointed that out, I’ve had this photo as my phone wallpaper since that post.

Nope, in no way do I find those speeds inappropriate. Yes they are illegal, but our speed limits are set for the fact that our standards are so lax that there are people who shouldn’t be driving operating vehicles that shouldn’t be on the road. Attentive drivers in capable vehicles can go much faster without a notable

You appear to be correct. Same measurements and same basic turbo in the same spot in the model lineup made it an easy though apparently wrong assumption. Unfortunately I can’t edit my original post anymore, hooray for Kinja’s silly limits.

I dunno, I wouldn’t be happy about a tech driving my car like that but as far as “mechanic abuse caught on dashcam” videos go... it’s not very bad.

The SRT4 Calibers had a descendant of the Neon SRT-4’s motor, 2.4L turbocharged to 285 HP. The internets claim they’re drag-limited around the mid 150s at stock power levels and have no electronic limiter so given enough power they’d gear out around 190 with the stock redline.

#TinFoilHat what a great way to get out of your contract and make your own show than to stage an elaborate round of fisticuffs and then regroup.

Right, and when doing the gamepad/mouse thing you only have access to half the gamepad. For a right-handed person it’s the half of the gamepad that doesn’t really have buttons. On an Xbox 360 pad my left hand gets the stick, d-pad, one trigger, and one shoulder button so it’s that plus five mouse buttons to do
