You have clearly never been to Maison Kaiser.

I can’t help but think that a lot of the messaging around this “seven welds” PR campaign from NASA is trying to be like “look how easy we made it! please fund us!”

I wish F1 would do a one-off year of anything goes as long as X space is left around the safety cell. I’m talking ground effects, blown exhaust, movable aero, and any engine and tires you want. Just one year. The racing would probably be terrible but the individual laps would be incredible.

You write such well-researched and thought-out pieces but when I see the photos all I can do is drool.

After two bloody years with an iPhone 5S the force touch is real weird. I keep expecting the screen to click in a sound that really, really isn’t good.

We (my parents) bought one of these bad boys new 2006, on which I learned to drive stick. My dad is never, ever, ever selling it, and it utterly kills both of us that my girlfriend doesn’t think it would be a good city car for us in San Francisco.

I love these kinds of thoughtful posts about procurement but hate all the feels they give me when I look at the photos and know we could have had so much more.

this. sploosh.

So Photoshopped. Do you think that somewhere there is an archive of Kim posing holding up a hand for companies to photoshop their products onto?

those canopies also look like the non-gold ones. which is to say, “meh”

Yes.

This is is the worst car I’ve ever driven. Everything is made out of plastic, the handling sucks, and it has zero performance until approximately seven seconds after you put your foot down.... at which point it revs at 8,000 but still doesn’t have any appreciable pickup.

One of those Hornet photos is definitely a Mig-29.

I can’t imagine what it would feel like to fly in an FJ-3/ F-86 with the canopy open, but someone in this video can because they did it, and I want to buy that person a beer.

The Porsche 918 of my dreams is any Porsche 918.

splooge.

The google hole i had to go into to figure out what FSAT meant was, well, long. And made me sad about the Vulcan more than anything.

Oh God. I barely was able to get through Transparent with Amazon Prime’s clunky video interface. I might have to get a Roku specifically to watch this, but avoid Prime.
