Is it Festivus already? I feel like a lot of decades-old grievances have been aired lately.

Some people were pointing out that he did pay for the room, Armond made the mistake, and it’s being conflated with “defending” his actions.

No, people can’t be blamed for things they didn’t do. That’s a pretty fundamental moral principle.

Oh, I liked Armand much more than I liked Shane. His story is a much greater felt tragedy. When Rachel called Shane a “big baby”, I realized he couldn’t help himself. That doesn’t excuse his behavior, it just, for me, fatalistically locked it in to a certain extent, since he isn’t capable of self-reflection and

We’re discussing the characters here. A character can’t be blamed for things they literally did not do, or for things that the narrative explicitly gives them reasonable justification for. That’s why we’re given a scene of Shane learning that the hotel had just had a violent robbery occur against one of the other

Who was cheering for him getting stabbed?

The people who made the show were free to focus more on Indigenous characters. They didn’t. I don’t give them credit for now telling the audience that it can’t be done. (If I’m following your explanation correctly)

Generally speaking, a character’s actions are important in how one assesses them.  That’s not getting hung up on logistics, that’s the meat of the show.

In a reversal of the Mossbacher children’s alliances, Olivia chastises Paula for the heist scheme and aligns herself with her parents (I guess Olivia is a lot more like father Mark than she though, and redistributing the wealth was only an acceptable ideology for Olivia when it didn’t affect her wealth!)

That is a good story and perspective.

Another hacky hagiography, cooked to lukewarm Oscar temperatures, coming right up!

His characters in Boogie Nights and Lebowski said otherwise. They were schlubs. I think that’s what made him so renowned, he could go from Clark Kent to Zod.

Dude, you're on AV Club.com if there's one place where you should expect conversation about the oscar nominations this would be it.

It’s impossible for us to know what Qualley’s relationship with LaBeouf was like in private, or what drove her to finally end it. It could be that she experienced some of the same abuse Twigs alleged, or as E! News reported, she may have simply realized that being linked to LaBeouf was a problem for her career. Or it

I find it weird that you find it weird. She owes us nothing.

I...don't get what's wrong with Kourtney's handwriting.

At some point you’re going to figure out that I’m not going to engage with your stupid questions.

Right before getting into the interview, the state that it took place late January.

Are you still not over reality TV existing, after all these years? Different people have different interests than you, no matter how much you condescend to them.

Bingo - Joan is the literal definition of “click-bait hate” writer.
