I think part of the reason people criticize this show is because the expectations were so completely through the roof. An expensive HBO period drama featuring Al Capone? There is nothing subtle or minor about that concept. That is really fucking going all in, so people expected a masterpiece, and what they ending up…

Sounds like a G-rated version of The Painted Bird. Hopefully there is less incest / bestiality, less savage beatings, fewer violent dog attacks, less gouged out eyeballs, (I mean, there can be some, just….less)

Can we get a Pam spin-off? Please.
