Because he is Nathan Fillion and, though friends with Gunn, I think he wouldn't be wasted on a Stan Lee/Bruce Campbell type cameo. Considering the fan devotion to Nathan "Rhymes with Million" you would hope Marvel/Gunn would be smart to cast him as someone more important than Prisoner #3. How important I don't have

So far of the 3 you mentioned I am going to rent Edge of Tomorrow... DOFP I've had spoilered for me and the main plot point concerning a certain blue mutant is a crock of S***; Bayformers have stung me too many times for me to see it in theaters if at all.

If not Cosmo (though he could have lied) and we all doubt it is Nova (due to his commitment to Castle) who is left besides some bit background character or Quill's father?

Look Fanboy, just because I don't believe that a developer can deliver on every thing they say they are going to do and want to wait until a game comes out before I declare it the greatest invention known to man isn't a bad thing.

Agreed, the guy is talented and could pull off the right cameo. I am more worried about the freaking lens flare than who is playing what in the movies.

But then we could have a great moment where we all know he is playing Darth Vader's long lost younger clone but it doesn't come up in the movie until he dramatically turns to the camera and says: "I'm Darth Khan" and panders to the small group of fans who always wanted a Star Wars/Star Trek crossover.

What's wrong with having a good, award winning, popular actor appear in a cameo role? His personal life aside I have no problem with him appearing for a quick scene in the Star Wars universe - cantina alien, guy who dies horribly, etc.

Too many promises, there is no way that they can deliver on all of it. Not hating on them just stating a fact.

My excitement has actually dampened - I want to know something about who we play and what we are doing besides all the promises we've been fed (all of the articles I've read have nothing but generalities or focus on the procedural generation).

I don't see him as Cable and Nova is unknown enough (to all but the die hard fans) that mucking up Nova's origin to fit him works... Besides Fillion may not be young but he can still play hotheaded/impulsive really well.

Yeah, there were 4 clones that were never going to die but there were 4000+ that were casually and ineffectually tossed away. The Republic/jedi were using very little in terms of tactics beyond the great Russian tradition of throwing a ton of warm bodies at the enemy (second only to relying on the brutal Winter to win

Yeah, I don't believe it. Matt Damon is getting old and unless they are going to throw buckets of money at him he doesn't have much incentive to come back to a physically grueling role that he has always said he won't do without Paul Greengrass.

How about the Mandalorians?

I wouldn't say that I felt the exact opposite though I mostly agree with you - but the show did have the same handful of plotlines that got old quick (Annie does something reckless that barely succeeds, the Republic overcomes overwhelming odds to succeed, villain is almost captured but gets away, etc).

Oh man! That would have been awesome, they need to remake that movie now!

This isn't really news - I am sure that there have been plenty of times when a single fiction book has sold better than a single non-fiction book. It just proves that Gabaldon is becoming more widely read than when her first book came out. Not surprising when a show based on her works exists or is in the process of

LOL - I had the same thought. Sean Bean is famous for his deaths and death scenes so why not have him die every episode just to come back the next week? Maybe he is an army of clones...

Never!

Yeah, I don't know - in the prequels he did like to have his hands in everything as Palpatine and Sidious - just felt like creating and maintaining those connections took quite a bit of time (off screen of course). Unfortunately in the OT we only get to see him speak to Vader and sit on a throne while looking smug. So

When Palpatine was one of many senators I could see him being able to go train someone for awhile (maybe). But how does someone train an apprentice or turn a jedi to the dark side in his free time? Or train a group of force sensitive assassins without your apprentice/heir (Vader) knowing? Keep the assassins from
