I just watched The Phantom Carriage a couple weeks ago, and it is phenomenal. And then I watched The Wind a few days later, and it was even better! Sjostrom was a master, and it's great that his reputation seems to be growing all the time.

I kind of wish you hadn't edited this because if anything deserved an unexplained "Fuck you" - from Scrawler, no less! - it was sum guy's comment.

Paradise: Love made John Waters' top ten, but it doesn't qualify for most lists. I'm looking forward to it because I really liked - well, not "liked," but you know - Import/Export, which, by the way, was #1 on Waters' list the year it came out.

I found Cosmopolis simultaneously confounding and exhilarating. I feel like I need to see it again to really make a definitive judgment about it, but it could easily move way up my list.

Haha, yeah. I was something of a Bobcat booster for a while because there was a lot I liked about his three other movies. But God Bless America is terrible.

Agreed. There are some clever jokes at the beginning, though all the video game cameos bordered on pandering. But I thought the second half was a complete mess of pointless subplots. The whole movie got really bogged down in the Sugar Rush world.

It came out back in January.

Good point. I don't want to make it sound like the film has nothing to say about human psychology, only that it explores the limits of psychological knowledge.
