This wasn’t from rushing to production. This was an issue with quality control from the supplier of the traction battery. LG Chem started taking shortcuts, and they’re the ones footing the bill for the recall.

Recalls aren’t about profit.  They’re about liability to the public and safety. 

Bolt Batteries are backed up over a year. IMO, they should have finished the recall before resuming production, as availability is now an issue.
