Just saw Thor: Ragnarok today, and am nonplussed at how the same outfit can be responsible for both. Where was the humor? Where was that marvelous magic that can take an unbelievable story seriously and laugh out loud funny, in a good way, at the same time?

It was all so bad. Everything bugged me. Why do a show about the inhumans if Medusa has no hair and Karnack is depowered? Why did they think that we would accept that?

One thing bugged me above all else. In the comics, Medusa and Blackbolt share a special almost-psychic bond. This is why she has to translate for him...

“I learned your sign language a long time ago, you idiot.”

Medusa: Attilan is compromised. We may have to leave.

Not just imprisoned, doomed to slowly die from eventual oxygen deprivation.

One key difference between this and the first Thor movie was that Thor’s evolution was earned at the end of the movie. Whereas here, I had absolutely no idea why Medusa was suddenly proposing going against all the horrendous parts of their society that had benefited her for so much of her life.

They had the exact same villain plot as the first Thor movie, I guess they figured they might as well have the same resolution as the last one too.

Black Bolt, when asked about the chances for a second season: “.....”

How dare the bad guy attempt to destroy Black Bolt’s slave plantation! I, for one, am relieved he’s been imprisoned for life without trial.

I teehee’d at practically everything Maximus said to Black Bolt in the first few minutes of the episode. As much as a show like this could ever have a “best” character, it was easily Maximus.

Let me ask this: How hard is it to portray an argument, when one of the people arguing can only be interpreted by the person with whom he’s arguing? Black Bolt and Medusa: Idiotic debate for the ages.

I thought the worst thing Marvel TV ever did was the Terrigen Fish Pills storyline from AoS. Thanks for showing me that you could top that, Marvel TV.

Ok Feige honestly has made so many stupid, stupid decisions

I imagine he’s just walked off back to Honolulu at this point. I mean, the cops clearly gave up looking for him and Black Bolt, I’ll bet that they never even notice that he’s there.

Black Bolt is the WORST. When he’s not contemptable, he’s just dull. I’m sure I’ve never disliked a lead character so strongly before.

Medusa’s the only one with principles about not killing Maximus, and then rightfully taking Black Bolt to task for making decisions without her. For a second there, I almost thought I might like her.

Leon: That was for Joe.

They’re jumping to the eighties next season. It’s gonna go there, for sure

I thought Leon was reaching for a baseball bat or something and was genuinely shocked when he shot Rodney. Also, I Googled hopple popple and I’m pretty sure I need to make it some morning.

This was the second time Anwan Glover shot someone dead when I was least expecting it.
