yeahi dont get what the complaint about, adding a tie break game as a list ditch effort is actually a fairly cohesive plan if everything else winds up being tied. its not like they implemented a final tiebreak of number of real teeth in team captains mouth

His defense of what he did was “Sorry about the people I hurt, but this guy said unkind things to my friend, so I had no choice but to throw a dolley at a bus full of people”. His actions ended up putting him in a cell overnight, he’s in the process of being criminally charged, and will be sued by all of the fighters

McGregor made a 40 year old man, who is historically risk adverse to the point of having “boring” fights look like Mike fucking Tyson in the late 80s. Mayweather hadn’t finished a fighter (before McGregor) in a decade (skipping Ortiz who dropped his defense and basically wasn’t fighting when he was clocked). He walked

McGregor got KO’d by a guy with no power who threw something like 12 total punches in the first two rounds. He showed that he was so little of a threat that one of the most defensive boxers of all time actually opened up and started attacking. Mayweather might as well have given him a noogie for how seriously he took

We can’t possibly know that. McGregor might have started out without the power to push over a Jenga tower. Getting him to where he could punch hard enough to bruise fruit might have been a huge accomplishment. And teaching him to stop saying “pow” with every punch was pretty much a miracle.

Le Comte is a Habs fan; merely existing in Boston is enough to tarnish most people in their eyes. Not that this is an incorrect take at all, by the way.

1) Andrew Ference (excerpted):

Wait what’s wrong with Ference? Also, while I don’t think Chara is very good at hockey, I thought the general consensus was that he’s a good guy and leader. But yeah, fuck the rest of them (though Marchand is incredibly talented and entertaining).

Vancouver fans are so starved for a hero that they kissed and made up to ambivalent Pavel Bure, who spurned them in the first place and is the one who has something to apologize for. I’m glad they got to cheer for Daniel and Henrik Sedin their entire NHL career.

A great ending to their great careers. Class acts all the way, superb players who’d every second game or so gave you a “How did they do that?! How did they know?” moment.

Ownership, management, and most of the fan-base was perfectly fine having the Sedins play their whole career as Canucks, trade picks or not. And I’m on team-tank

I really liked how they only announced it with a few games left. Reports are they were telling former teammates a month or so ago. I hate the goodbye tours that have plagued MLB. So much more classy to do it this way. Still a good chance to give the fans a meanful sendoff but let the Sedins be the humble classy

Poetic. Also, the goal he scored in the second period was old-fashioned Sedinery and really nice.

This is happening in white neighborhoods as well. You lose the character and history of the neighborhood.

I like these trucks but don’t know too much about them. Can you help me understand why the 114 HP 22-RE is so much more desireable than a 150 HP v6? Fuel economy? reliability?

It’s the “wrong” engine and trans, but a 22RE with a manual in this condition would easily fetch five figures.

“They aren’t getting us anywhere.”

Screw him. Sorry, but he lost his temper and killed a woman.

yeah if a 39 year old woman beat a huge black guy to death?...dude. He punched her in the head and she died. You go to jail for that.

They don’t write, they throw spaghetti at the blackboard until it sticks in the shapes they want. Just like Georgians.
