Yeah, technically right, but it would look so much better if someone said it on his behalf rather than he saying it himself.
That makes sense, but whether a lynching or a state-approved execution, anyone creating, or looking at the creation of that diorama should have said “hey, it’s a bunch of white people hanging a black dude,” and that should have led to more thoughts and reflections.
Sorry for the off-topic, but since you’re doing sports articles I feel you may have missed one that would be of interest on The Root: Mike Grier became the first black GM in NHL history when he was given the job in San Jose last week. He’s the brother of Miami Dolphins’ GM Chris Grier, and their dad had some fairly…
What if the cop gets in your face? What if the cop wants to harass/arrest you for something and you want to record for your own protection? What if you’re pulled over in your car and want to record the cop yelling at you through your window?
So, business as usual in America. Black guy in Ohio flees from a traffic stop and gets 60 bullet holes, this guy flees from committing mass murder and he’s apprehended very gently.
Have you considered that this may be unconscious (not necessarily racial) bias on your part?
Possibly. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad the racist adult who couldn’t contain his temper is facing some legal repercussions here. But I think the boys followed him; the boy’s bike is facing towards the white guy at the beginning of the second part. And the way the boy falls, kind of dramatically, is strange.
The sudden change in location and the way the boy falls.
Does anyone else find the second half of that video odd?
That was my first reaction seeing it for the first time on the picture up here, “what an aggressively ugly car.”
There’s some reason to hope to be pleasantly surprised.
That works too, though my first thought was this is the kind of truck that a teenage son of a police chief would use to accidentally run over cyclists while trying to roll coal on them.
I’m pretty sure this is one of the last cars you can get where you can sit three people on the front bench (that center console in the picture folds up). It’s too bad that unlike the slightly smaller Regal or the slightly bigger Park Avenue it doesn’t come with a super-charged version of the V6, but it’s still…
In theory, links to other articles on The Root gives the website some “Search Engine Optimization (SEO) juice,” making it rank slightly higher in Google’s algorithms and more likely to appear slightly higher in search engine results for the words they’re linking with (so “father,” or “tragic ending,” or “scenario” in…
That’s nice.
“Naughty massage client” is such a common kink, he could have so easily found (or paid for) willing participants to role-play it instead of involving women against their will
there’s already enough legitimate reasons to be angry.
At least they’re supposedly trained, equipped, and expected to confront shooters. Asking them to jump into a lake to help a drowning person without training or equipment is like asking them to run into a burning building to save someone. Sure, it could be done, but I don’t automatically blame them for not doing it.
