I have a mid-2112 13" Macbook Pro with I7 processor. Recently I increased RAM to 16GB and replaced the HDD (750 GB) with SSD (500 GB).  The early beta versions had some hiccoughs and ran slower in some applications.  The Mojave public release is like lightning on my machine.  Your mileage may vary.
