You guys are confusing this with Avengers 2: Electric Boogaloo - Marvel, who owns the character, cannot legally use Mutants or Magneto in their MCU. Sucks, but that's the reality. Fox can, but apparently is choosing not to.

An astute commenter on Gunn's FB page speculated that the strange markings that appear different on each character's pants are codes for each of their rap sheets. Gunn himself seemed to confirm it. So effing cool that he occasionally responds to his fans' comments on the stuff he posts!
