If he spent $6 million to build this for his own personal use that is one thing - extravagant, but it’s his money. But if he built it to sell - expecting to recoup his $6 million (and then some!) - and the high bid was $50,000 well, that wasn’t much of a business decision.

Should have brought a Unimog. On the road I am surprised at how many German tourists come here with those “campers” and giant tires.

Although when I was at Big Bend NP a ranger told me of one who was at such an incline it tipped over - and equipment from San Antonio was called in.

That had to be expensive.

Some years ago they were honored at the Monterey Historic Races - Imagine seeing - well, there were more than 51 lined up in the parking lot. Including the one from the Bond movie for which the top was hacked off to fit the rather tall Sean Connery. If the Kinja software weren’t so flakey I’d post a picture.

That would be a pretty cool car meet with those guys there - just to see what they would bring. In fact that whole line up in the photo looks cool.

I look at that thing and Jason is actually surprised?

Giving an MSRP for a C8 Stingray is kinda silly these days isn’t it?

This software is buggy. I had linked the Beartooth Highway (Win 10, Edge). You should all drive it. 68 miles from Red Lodge MT to Cooke City and the north entrance to Yellowstone. At one point, you drive 10-15 miles and gain 5,000 feet.

Looks like you got off relatively easy. I recently finished a 6,000 mile trip (The Coronavirus Challenge) through the Dakotas, Montana and Wyoming. (If you haven’t driven the Beartooth Highway put that on your list).

I think I know what happened. The driver tried to get as close to the cyclists as possible and misjudged it. As to the police chief, BS.

It’ll hold up to any mileage you throw at it as long as you properly maintain it. With most cars, including the 1996 SL 500 I bought 8 years ago, it’d  be interesting to see a spreadsheet on what components he has replaced. I was surprised, reading about the 4 million mile Volvo, the owner said that water pumps

When I first read this I thought it stunk. At the very least gross negligence. Small towns at their worst.

What’s with the Asians and these huge gapping grills? They look like a catfish with the mouth open.

Reliant Robin

It would be funny to buy a Lamborghini there and have them slap on heir “KIA” license plate frame

This is the way the G-Wagon was intended, now some pimped-out 600 hp mall crawler

Whenever I think of a rugged, simple, easy-to-maintain Volvo this is the car. This or the P1800. And timeless styling too! Looks as good now as it did in 1965.

Why should there be any “incentives” if they are so good and “obviously” the future?

When I first saw the Alfa 4C, I thought I was looking at a mini-Ferrari. But Alfa has a terrible record of coming and going and coming and going (thinking of Lili von Schtupp’s song in Blazing Saddles).

Having an orphan with the parts problems sucks. Especially a $60,000 orphan.

There is also a bit of Phil trivia that is relatively unknown. He is responsible for making the modern Concours d’ Elagance the way it is..

Until he changed it, the Pebble Beach Councourse was known for premièring the newest cars. His family had a Pierce-Arrow and Phil restored it. He apparently had top notch

As much as Cars and Coffee like Mustangs?
