I think the Maybach - particular the LWB - 57 - was closer to $450,000. But I heard they were an electronic nightmare at the dealer.

There is nothing to be embarrassed about getting a Camry or Corolla. They are appliance cars, and that means boringly reliable. 300,000 miles is not unusual for either.

I have been a regular to our Pick n Pulls in Sacramento. One thing not mentioned - I occasionally practice a removal procedure on one of their cars before tackling my own.

I’m watching that video and thinking that guy in the beard and glasses “narrating” it - what a maroon.

I wonder what dealers will be asking for the new Corvette whenever it hits the showroom. I think for a lot of people all they are interested in is “how much a month?”

But it is pretty amazing.

71 mph and they are hardly going. Gotta admire their enthusiasm; not their stupidity. If they had injured/killed someone that would have been a plantiff’s lawyer’s dream. Deep pockets at GM.

Robert Lutz thinks it isn’t a matter of “if” but “when” Tesla will go out of business. I think they make a fine product (that ugly truck aside), but when the established companies start ramping up EV production how will Tesla do?

Had a 1st gen MR2 that was the same in snow

Hilarious!

I know I am rapidly becoming an old fart but why on earth do people want to burn out expensive tires? What are the rear tires on that Mustang costing these days?

I am certain that is precisely why they don’t like to give written quotes. Turn it around, if dealer “A” gives a quote, customer takes his written quote to dealer “B”, and “B” then says I will drop it $10, how many customers would buy from dealer “B”?

(Personally I think it is unethical to show the quote from another

That thing seems as stupid as the Morris Minor I saw with a blown Chevy 427. Completely mismatched. Wasted HP in the form of burned rubber. And as SamJam12 so elegantly said, lotsa oversteer.

Sounds pretty good to me. Not like a Ferrari but then it isn’t $300,000. And I wonder what the difference in maintenance costs are.

Forget the fines. It’s what it does to your insurance. I hadn’t gotten a ticket in a good 15 years and get nabbed up in WA for going 72 in a 60 (beautiful road, that Hwy 30!)

$156 fine which I sent up there

I’m just happy to see some driver who doesn’t succumb to the same “shitty” silvers, white, black these days.

So ask them how an all electric car can be a “turbo”? Inquiring minds need to know.

You’d think since GM went bankrupt and without the govt help would have been gone they’d be a little more accommodating..

Can’t believe you didn’t mention at least the original (62-63) Grand Prix

If you hadn’t done the work yourself it would have been ridiculous. Generally unless the car is a collectible and worth into the 5 figures you are better off buying one somebody else has already done - but you could probably sell that car for what you put into it.

Nobody is forcing these drivers to stay with Uber and Lyft - if enough quit, and they can’t recruit the replacements, then change will come.
