Yeah, I think since she was the first Miss Universe after Trump took over, he thought that meant he got to bang her. She said no, and this was his response - he had to belittle her, publicly, to make it clear to everyone how unattractive she was to him so that no one would ever think she turned him down.

I think Ms Machado must have told Trump “No”. And his need for spiteful vengeance has led to this. There is no huge weight gain to hang this on magically *somehow* making Trump’s behavior towards her ok.

I also laughed with glee at the ‘lack of stamina’ accusation. She looked like she could have gone 10 more rounds without getting winded.
