I've got one that not only tells you if its open or not but lets you open from your phone / browser.

Mine uses ATT towers so I get the same coverage that I had before. As for data speed I checked a min ago and was getting 6mb down and 2mb up. The lack of LTE does suck but it's not work paying twice a much for the option.

I buy unlocked phones and use Straight Talk. $650 for an iPhone 5 and $48 a month for unlimited everything beats the hell out of $200 for the phone and $90 Minimum per month with ATT.

my problem is that they won't ship anything that I want to buy

Oplayer also works well and has a free version

It takes all of 2 min. to replace a battery in an iphone 4 or 4s. Haven't tried in a 5 yet.

So I assume the point of this is to use a monitor that doesn't have HDMI inputs? Otherwise I'm not really getting ti.

thank you

I just leave them on 24/7. It'd probably be easy enough to do though. I should note that when the power goes out these will stay on for several days even when being used 24 hours a day.

I used some stick on LED strips to light my spiral staircase. I also built in a UPS and dimmer. The results are quite awesome.

I thought about going this route but decided instead to add some USB ports to my headboard.

something like this could work well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004CSRXRO/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=wwwwillmakesc-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B004CSRXRO&adid=1Z51TTF3PTK0B0G2D06T& and you have the added ability to use it as a UPS

I'll take it

This blog doesn't tell you how to do anything at all. It offers links to another blog for directions and a couple of places to get the ATMEGA328p. The title is also misleading.

also the $5 doesn't include the board that the system is built on

edit

Because its all in a prebuilt device and includes the usb-serial converter

How long would the charge last? I wouldn't think it would be long enough to matter.
