The problem with this idea, at least at Texas Tech, where I did my undergrad, is that it just forces the problem drinking off campus. You then end up with tons of binge drinking kids trying to get back to campus at 2 in the morning.
Wasn’t Cervantes the original villain of the series?
Interesting that it was Soul Calibur V that reined Nightmare in given that game’s other design excesses (e.g. Sophitia’s and Ivy’s wildly impractical busts).
I hear ya. The main constraint I can see is that a lot of games offer various shades of progression as you play. As an example, my current build in Doom (2016) is likely different from yours. If they implemented the kind of feature you’re discussing, they’d have to settle on some kind of generic build for progress and…
Same boat for both that and BotW. I put in close to 200 hours on both.
Getting stuck carrying the bucket was awful tho.
I didn’t find myself relying on bombs too much. Mostly sneaking and stealth kills.
It’s a toss-up between finishing the Trial of Sword or the New Donk City Festival.
Eventide Island is one of the best, if not the best, shrines in Breath of the Wild. Taking a player who’s developed a rhythm and built an arsenal then dumping them somewhere with nothing is a fantastic way to break up the pace. It’s also a nice allusion to Link’s Awakening.

Just got Doom for the Switch, so I’ll likely keep working at that. I just got to the Argent Tower stage (I think that’s what it’s called) and am currently sitting at level 15 in multiplayer.
There’s a fantastic little “nnnnnnnn” between the two words that just massages the back of your neck. “Leeeeeeeeeeroy nnnnnJeeeenkiiiiiinsss.”
I got through it. I just missed that rope!
Watch out for bees!
Lol, I got killed by some damn bees during the quest too, haha.
I’m with you, it really isn’t that hard. I made some dumb mistakes, and got a couple of hiccups, but the worst part for me was easily sailing through the swinging balls. I’m not even sure why the final conveyor was supposed to be hard.
Okami!
From Kass’s telling and the cutscenes, it seemed to me that Zelda’s training was more out of frustration and a self-centered desire to prove her parents and the gods wrong rather out of a genuine love of her people. Even the backup plan of using the Guardians and her research into ancient technology seemed like an…
Yah, I agree. Twisting fantasy tales can be nice, but sometimes heroism and valor are just as good.
