Yeah, penalties are more severe when there is an injury. The NFL does this to some extent as well, but the NHL invented it. If Wilson bounces right back up, it’s probably a minor.

I watch this and feel like it was only a match penalty because of Wilson hitting his head on the ice. The hit itself is fine, aside from being late (and therefore interference), as you mentioned.
