I want people to be able to do pretty much whatever the fuck they want as long as it doesn’t harm anyone else, and I want government to spend as little fucking money as possible making sure people can do that.

The Republicans took over the government by running more and more extremists. The Tea Party defeated their own party and now run roughshod over everything, despite pundits clamoring for years that the Republican Party was going to destroy itself in a civil war.

Running a candidate based purely on whether or not they’re focussed on winning instead of focussed on the issues that affect the people they’d represent if elected sure is a weird purity test to apply! Why not be more pragmatic? Run candidates who are both likely to win and have decent and humane policies.

So we can get a Manchin or a Feinstein that has the ‘D’ in the title, but vote along Trump policy lines the majority of the time?
