At the risk of being mind-numbingly unimaginative, I have to think that the right answer is the newest / fewest km Honda Fit you can find.  With winter tires ours is a trooper in the snow.  It gets phenomenal fuel economy.  It’s got the best size : space ratio of any car I’ve owned.  And it’s as reliable as hell.

I think it’s more a practicality / safety thing. Putting a helipad on a sailboat seems like a rotor blade vs mast and/or sail accident waiting to happen.

I don’t know much about the Captiva, but a quick google says 2015 was the last year it was made. This happened in 2022, so she was paying $750 for a 7 year old Captiva if she had a Quick shitty google math puts it a $41k for a 72 month term or if it was a 36 loan that’s still $24k for a Chevy Captiva.

I did repo for a while and most people know you are coming for the car. You mostly pull up around 1-2 am and hook it up, the knock on the door and ask if they want to get their stuff out. Maybe 85-90% of the people were cool. But that last 10-15% was the reason people stop doing it.

This is a closed airbox, and only bypasses a sound resonator. The filter itself is a panel-style replacement, but just flows a little more and makes more noise. I’m with you on open element filters, though.
