Yes lets only allow trucks in during certain hours, so when unexpected traffic hits, and they miss those hours, they just park on all the side streets, wait 12 hours, and idle the whole time.

What the fuck is this? Written by someone who has no concept of reality outside of NYC? On a CAR centric website?

It would be good if cities were designed for this. Otherwise, how do you intend for office supplies, food and other needs to be taken care of in cities that do this? Sounds like a great idea as an experiment, but I don’t see how this truly works out in real life.

Ford and GM’s refusal to build new vehicles that compete in this space is what leads to prices like this.

Not really. If you judge speed by engine volume, like many people do, no noise translates into overcooking it into corners, speeding tickets, listening to every squeak and rattle at full annoying volume, etc.
