e30 m3. f30 and f80 as well. And I’ve always liked how the BMW CCA grille badge looked on some cars.
“But there’s no doubt the car will end up in California in the long term”
I’ll be riding my Connie 14 from NJ to VT this afternoon. I’m pretty excited.
Aside from agreeing with him, this was the real reason I starred the comment.
Injuries to left hand indicate this isn’t the only questionable decision he’s made in the last couple months. Was fun to watch it heal over the course of the 1st half of the video, though.
I actually saw a Prowler driving around last week. I hadn’t seen one on the road for a good 15+ years. I did think they were really cool looking when they first came out. I was also 10 or so. Now I’ll take a Hemisfear please. And no, I haven’t grown up apparently.
I honestly thought those MB grille emblems were some Autozone/eBay add-on people installed so that everyone within a mile can know they’re driving an expensive car. Had no idea MB would actually install something like that willingly.
Did you bother rewelding after you were done? I can imagine taking the front clip off makes motor swaps a total breeze. I keep telling myself the next time I do this I will go that route.
I got a “free” motor and transmission by doing that with an e36 about 7 years ago. Had been totaled from a pretty hard hit to the passenger front fender. Had 90k on the clock and I got decent coin for the whole interior and other misc parts. I had to hack off a bunch of the front passenger side to get the motor out…
I don’t know about the Z cars but e30/e36 I can get the motor with transmission attached out the top after you take the radiator out. It’s a tight squeeze but it works. Also helps to have a decent load leveler to change pitch as you move.
Hah! I have a really bad back and I could never figure out why..
Coming from someone who’s done a handful of s5x swaps, it’s gonna cost you a bit more than $6k to properly s54 that car these days..
Ignore the cager troll.
My best friends older brother was an combat medic in the Army when we were in high school. When he was around and we were in pain from a weekend of being idiots he would just give us an IV. Set you right as rain in no time.
Does your left hand get cold from the lack of wind protection that the clutch lever would normally provide?
Hell yes. I’m 6'3" 275 and I actually feel like there’s room to spare in the Honda Fit. My friend had one when we lived in the city. He was 6'5" and around 300. It was a 1st gen but I can’t imagine it would have changed much. I’m sure we looked ridiculous but we didn’t care.
I like it?
