I’ve never understood this point of view. Tales of a young Han Solo as as a smuggler and his adventures in the criminal underworld of Star Wars universe seem to me to be some of the most compelling material the franchise could produce.

I’m still not convinced that a Han Solo prequel has a compelling reason to exist, but since that ship has sailed it might as well have swirling storms like a Turner painting in space and young Lando wearing more fur than Chewbacca. So...I guess I will watch this thing.

They’re bringing that storyline into the show? amazing! Every time I thnk they finally departed the books’ storyline for good, they pull something from the novels and bring it into their world. As a fan I like it that I both get to watch my favorite bits from th novels, while still being surprised by the plot.

Hes reducing an actress and a character down to their body. Thats sexist.

I wouldn’t recommend it. The show is heavily serialized, and season two picks up without handy explanation of what came before.
